If there is a way…..I’ll find it. Kelly has found all sorts of new ways to get to things she wants, including moving her potty around to turn on and off light switches. Her new favorite place to make you play with her is the dark laundry room. I will have to say, this is my least favorite playtime activity, but I’m sure next week we will be on to new adventures!

Sleep, who needs sleep?

Kate doesn’t need sleep, but Moma still does! Alright, things haven’t gotten worse, so I’m trying to look at the bright side of things; although Kate isn’t sleeping through the night, she is only getting up once maybe twice and believe it or not, I am okay with this. (compared to last week at least), when it was anywhere from 3-5 times per night. I told Billy that I am on the verge of hiring a sleep nanny, yes, they do exist and I am almost willing to pay these people money to fix our little problem. Kate’s 4 month appointment is on the 25th so we’ll see how she is doing then!

Do we still look alike?

One great thing about having 2 girls is that they get to share clothes, shoes, etc. Here is Kelly and Kate in the same outfit (oh, and hairbow). What beauties!

……….and I do my little turn on the catwalk – yeah, the catwalk…..Remember that song. Well, that’s what we were singing when Kelly was posing for these pics. She is such a camera lover. I really just wanted to get a pic of this super cute shirt from Grandmoma for a Halloween gift she got at Nordstrom. Billy thought it was awful, but Moma thinks it’s great!

Stickers, I need more stickers!

Birthmark almost gone

One of Kelly’s favorite things is stickers! She loves them. I find them on her diaper, stuck to our hardwoods, oh, and Daddy found one on his shirt out and about one day (I think it was a princess one too!). Her favorite place to put them is her face! Honestly, I would let her go in the grocery store these days with stickers on her face if it made her happy. (Another one of those never say never moments). Also, Kelly’s birthmark is almost gone. For those of you who have known Kelly since birth, she had a bright red birthmark on the back of her neck and we always thought her hair would probably cover it up – well, that hasn’t happend yet, so it just decided to fade on its own. Moma kinda misses it :(

Kelly's Balloon Crown

So the neighborhood fall festival was several weeks ago and I never got around to posting anything about it, well, because it was not very eventful at all! It was freezing, then it started raining, so there was no way that Kelly was about to get on a wet pony and Moma doesn’t do good in the outdoors, none the less, the cold wet outdoors, so Kate and I hung out in the clubhouse watching the events from the window while Daddy and Kelly made their way to the balloon artist where Kelly got a pretty cool crown. Now that I’m looking back at this picture, looks like I got every piece of winter clothing Kelly owns out of her closet at the same time. I’m sure I would have been more prepared if we lived in KY! Georgians don’t see much snow round’ these parts.

All Smiles!

Life is good at the Dyson household. Kate is smiling more than ever and Big Sister Kelly is just as happy! She has adjusted well over the past 3 months and we couldn’t more proud. Kelly is still sleeping all night in her big girl bed and Kate….well, let’s not talk about how she is sleeping. Let’s just say that Moma has given Daddy a two week warning that if something doesn’t give by Kate’s 4 month birthday (the 17th), then Daddy just may have to start getting up in the middle of the night on Friday and Saturday night. With that being said – Billy is probably requesting some prayers be said for Kate’s sleeping problems and his soon to be sleeping problems :) (ha ha, just kidding, okay, maybe I’m not, we’ll see in 2 weeks) The clock is ticking…..

This year’s Halloween was a little more exciting than last year and I’m sure next year will be even more fun! Kelly was a good witch and won her age group in the neighborhood costume contest! Moma and Daddy were so proud! Kate dressed up in a pumpkin onesie and had a cute hairbow. She made the perfect little pumpkin! We went trick or treating and Kelly was very polite to say “thank you” and “your welcome” back to back each time she received candy. The first stop was her Aunt Stephanie’s where she got a Hershey’s chocolate bar and then on down the street to friends Dax and Jessica where she was super excited to get a ghost white chocolate sucker and even a special cupcake!! This was “big time” as Daddy said and we visited our neighbor’s, Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, where we had to make a pit stop and feed Kate a bottle and well, that’s about the end of the trick or treating. We headed back to the house to hand out our own candy, which Kelly had to have a piece put in her bag each time we handed out a piece……(she didn’t want to be left out!) Kate just sat back and watched. Oh, and Billy and I dressed up the weekend before for a Halloween Party as Barbarians…….let’s just say that Billy is not leaving me in charge of costume’s anymore…..he didn’t like the skirt idea for his outfit and wished he had a club or sword or something……Sorry Billy!

I can remember Kelly doing this and wished I had gotten it on video, so I didn’t want to miss this chance with Kate. I think she is probably having a sweet dream.
