Bulldogs VS Wildcats

Well, I went to bed early last night thinking it was a long shot that Kentucky might beat Georgia at the football game, but to my surprise, they did! Here the girls are dressed in blue supporting their Moma’s home team. I think their blood really does run blue!  Go wildcats!

Yes, Billy and I actually paid extra to have our doorhandles upgraded to levers from knobs.  That was a decision made by 2 people who had never had children. Yes, I have had to put a child safety lock on our pantry door to keep little Miss snacker, Kelly, out of the pantry. Is this crazy? I feel like it’s crazy, but she would drag everything from balsamic vinegar to flour out for me let her eat……I couldn’t take it anymore!  Also, I’ve had to trick her with offering Nutella hazlenut spread as chocolate…..now , if I can just figure out how to get her to eat it without her hands!  Oh, it’s never-ending!

Santa Sneak Peek

Alrighty, I’ll let y’all decide how the visit to Mr. Santa went. Here we are coaxing Kelly with a Christmas ornament and trying to get dresses fixed while Santa hides behind the black sheet. Will he ever be able to come out?  You will have to wait and see on the Christmas card that will be coming your way in approximately 14 business days per the website I ordered them this morning!  Note to self……get your holiday shopping done online NOW if you want it by Christmas. Ho, Ho, Ho!

Bathtime equals Happytime

Kelly loves her new roll-on soap. It’s green and fun! She also liked walking around in her Dora the Explorer flippers from her bathtoy. She couldn’t quiet figure out how to get them on her feet though, so the toes had work. Kate loves the bath too, thank goodness!

If there is a way…..I’ll find it. Kelly has found all sorts of new ways to get to things she wants, including moving her potty around to turn on and off light switches. Her new favorite place to make you play with her is the dark laundry room. I will have to say, this is my least favorite playtime activity, but I’m sure next week we will be on to new adventures!

Sleep, who needs sleep?

Kate doesn’t need sleep, but Moma still does! Alright, things haven’t gotten worse, so I’m trying to look at the bright side of things; although Kate isn’t sleeping through the night, she is only getting up once maybe twice and believe it or not, I am okay with this. (compared to last week at least), when it was anywhere from 3-5 times per night. I told Billy that I am on the verge of hiring a sleep nanny, yes, they do exist and I am almost willing to pay these people money to fix our little problem. Kate’s 4 month appointment is on the 25th so we’ll see how she is doing then!

Do we still look alike?

One great thing about having 2 girls is that they get to share clothes, shoes, etc. Here is Kelly and Kate in the same outfit (oh, and hairbow). What beauties!

……….and I do my little turn on the catwalk – yeah, the catwalk…..Remember that song. Well, that’s what we were singing when Kelly was posing for these pics. She is such a camera lover. I really just wanted to get a pic of this super cute shirt from Grandmoma for a Halloween gift she got at Nordstrom. Billy thought it was awful, but Moma thinks it’s great!

Stickers, I need more stickers!

Birthmark almost gone

One of Kelly’s favorite things is stickers! She loves them. I find them on her diaper, stuck to our hardwoods, oh, and Daddy found one on his shirt out and about one day (I think it was a princess one too!). Her favorite place to put them is her face! Honestly, I would let her go in the grocery store these days with stickers on her face if it made her happy. (Another one of those never say never moments). Also, Kelly’s birthmark is almost gone. For those of you who have known Kelly since birth, she had a bright red birthmark on the back of her neck and we always thought her hair would probably cover it up – well, that hasn’t happend yet, so it just decided to fade on its own. Moma kinda misses it :(
